IPL 2021 UAE leg is set to commence on September 19. The opening game of the tournament will witness an encounter between Chennai Super Kings (CSK) and Mumbai Indians (MI) at Dubai International Stadium. During the UAE leg of the Indian Premier League 2021, a total of 31 matches will be played. The first leg of the tournament was suspended in May due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Many players from Australia are part of the 8 franchises of IPL 2021. Also, some of these Australian players earned costly deals during the auctions. Mitchell Santner is part of Chennai Super Kings in IPL 2021. The bowling all-rounder did not play any game in the first leg. He has played two seasons in the tournament for CSK in 2019 and 2020. In 6 games, the left-arm spinner has scalped 6 wickets at an average of 24.50. He has also scored 32 runs.

The Australian pacer did not play in the first leg but the franchise has confirmed that Hazlewood will be back in the UAE leg. Moises Henriques was picked by Punjab Kings in IPL 2021 auction at a price of Rs. 4.2 crore. In the first leg, the Aussie all-rounder played 3 matches, scoring 16 runs and picking 1 wicket. Overall, he has played 60 matches in the tournament. He has scored 985 runs at an average of 27.36 with 5 fifties. While bowling, he has grabbed 39 wickets.

Nathan Ellis (PKBS)

Nathan Ellis recently joined the Punjab Kings franchise for IPL 2021 UAE leg. The Australian pacer recently gained the limelight with a hat-trick in his T20I debut against Bangladesh. Nathan Ellis is also a reserve player in Australia’s squad for ICC T20 World Cup 2021. The right-arm pacer has played 2 T20I games and picked 5 wickets for Australia so far.

Glenn Maxwell (RCB)

Glenn Maxwell is part of Royal Challengers Bangalore in IPL 2021. The franchise bought him for Rs. 14.25 crore during the 2021 auctions. In the first leg of the 2021 season, the right-handed batsman ended as the highest run-getter for RCB with 223 runs in 7 matches. Maxwell has played 89 matches in his IPL career, scoring 1728 runs at an average of 23.35 and 8 half-centuries. He has also picked 19 wickets.
