Covid-19 hits SRH camp: T Natarajan tested positive; 6 others placed in isolation after coming in close contact
The covid-19 has once again hit the IPL 2021 again as SRH pacer T Natarajan was tested positive for the virus. Apart from him, 6 other members, including all-rounder Vijay Shankar, of the SRH contingent were placed in isolation after they were deemed close contact with the seamer.
Vijay Shankar (Player), Vijay Kumar(Team Manager), Shyam Sundar J(Physiotherapist), Anjana Vannan(Doctor), Tushar Khedkar(Logistics Manager), and Periyasamy Ganesan (Net Bowler) have all been placed in isolation; all of them had also tested negative.
SRH’s game against the Capitals went ahead as scheduled on Wednesday night at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium, Dubai – after the rest of the contingent tested negative for the virus on the morning of the game. Rishabh Pant’s side won the encounter by 8 wickets.
Kane Williamson’s team is languishing at the bottom of the table with 7 losses in 8 matches, and are all but out of the playoffs race. SRH next meet Punjab Kings in Sharjah on Saturday.
